Titan App Instructions for Configuring Your Dash Cameras 

The Titan application is where installers will configure the dash cameras to ensure the view of the lense accurately captures driver behavior events and safety warnings. 

This app is required for installation only. 

 

Download & Install the Titan App 

  1. In the App Store, type in TITAN FTS and select the app with Titan icon or click below.    A black square with a yellow circle and a white circle

  1. Power on the camera by starting the engine.  

  1. After the camera has powered up, the Wi-Fi hotspot is made available by pushing the access button twice.

Connect to Camera Wi-Fi (IOS)

  1. Locate the camera SSID that is located on the MDVR device. It is a 10-digit code and usually starts with an ST on camera or MDVR.  

  1. Login to Titan App. Use the login credentials you were provided in your Titan app email.  

  1. Connect to camera Wi-Fi.  Connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi using one of three methods:  

Search Nearest Camera 

  1. Select Search Nearest Camera. 
  2. Ensure that the app is being used in range of the camera, and that the correct camera is being selected.  
  3. Click Join.   

Select Wi-Fi from Settings  

  1. Go into iOS Settings and click Wi-Fi. 
  2. Select the correct camera SSID from the list of options- the ST-XXXXXXX
  3. Exit iOS Settings and re-enter the TITAN app. 
  4. Select the camera SSID under Current Camera Wi-Fi on app
     

Insert SSID  

  1. Select Insert SSID and manually type the camera SSID

Connect to Camera Wi-Fi (Android) 

  1.  Locate the camera SSID that is located on the MDVR device. It is a 10-digit code and usually starts with an ST on the smart device.  

  1.  Login to Titan App. Use the login credentials you were provided in your Titan app email.  

  1.  Connect to Camera Wi-Fi. Connect to the camera Wi-Fi by clicking on the camera SSID. When prompted, select Connect. Once connected to the camera’s Wi-Fi, proceed with the FleetCam calibration.  

Note: If a camera is not listed, click the refresh button.

Calibrate Camera Forward Facing AI Camera

1. Select a camera from the Camera list to enter Calibration Mode.  

Note: Cameras that are calibrated will have a checkmark in their column.  

 

 

2. Toggle the AI Calibration Mode button to put the camera into Calibration Mode.

3. Enter height of the camera. This is a height measurement from the ground to the road camera lens, and it can be entered in either inches or centimeters (select unit of measure accordingly). 

4. The recommended mounting location for the camera is the center of the windshield. If the camera is installed in the center of the windshield, select Centered. If the camera will not be centered in the windshield, select Not Centered.  

New fields will display.

5. Enter Vehicle Front Width. This indicates the distance (3) from the left edge of the vehicle to the right edge of the vehicle.

6. Enter Camera Distance from Left Edge. This indicates the distance (2) from the left edge of the vehicle to the camera when looking at the front of the vehicle.  

 Note: Vehicle Hood Length measurement only needs to be entered on tractor trailer installations when the vehicle is equipped with a long hood. 

7. After measurements have been entered, turn AI Calibration mode off by the toggle. Click CONFIRM to save changes and return to camera selection list.  

 Maximum offset allowed is: 4 inches (10.16 cm).

Calibrate FleetCam AI Driver Facing Camera

1. Select Camera 2 from the Camera list to calibrate AI Driver Cam

2. Select the Steering Wheel Position from the drop-down menu. This  
indicates if the steering wheel is on the left hand side or right hand side. USA is Left.
 
3. Adjust the driver cam lens so that the driver’s face is just above the  
centerline of the live stream view by opening the bottom panel of the camera and moving the adjustment tab to the correct position. 

 4. Click CONFIRM to save changes and return to camera selection list. 

 

SERVER CONFIGURATION

For Communication Type Choose Cellular from the drop down menu.  

 Click Save. 

 

Wi-Fi Configuration (OPTIONAL)

Wi-Fi setting allows installers to connect the camera to a local Wi-Fi network for troubleshooting or downloading videos via Wi-Fi. Optional  

1. Click Wi-Fi Connection to expand the drop-down list.
 
2. Select Connect to Wi-Fi. 
 
3. Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect the camera to or manually enter the SSID (Wi-Fi Name) into the SSID text field.  
 
4. Expand the Encryption Type drop-down list and select the correct Wi-Fi Encryption Type for Your Network:  
• None  
• WEP  
• WPA/WPA2-PSK  
• WPA2-Enterprise  
 
5. Password  
Type the password for the local Wi-Fi into the Password field.  
Click Save.
