The stationary gateway conveniently plugs into a standard wall socket, but placement is critical to successful operation.

Placement Best Practices

  • Place the tracker near a window or exterior wall whenever possible to improve GPS satellite reception.
  • Mount the device approximately 3–5 feet above the floor for optimal signal performance and easier access.
  • Avoid placing the tracker inside metal cabinets, shelving, or enclosures, as metal can significantly reduce GPS and cellular signal strength.
  • Keep the tracker away from sources of electrical or RF interference, such as Wi-Fi access points, network equipment, electrical panels, large motors, and high-voltage wiring.
  • Maintain a clear line of sight above the device by avoiding placement directly beneath metal roofs, ductwork, or heavy equipment whenever possible.
  • Install the tracker in a secure location where it will not be accidentally moved, covered, or damaged during normal warehouse operations.
  • Verify GPS and cellular connectivity after installation to ensure the device is reporting its location consistently before leaving the site.
