The stationary gateway plugs into a standard wall socket but placement is critical to successful operation.
Placement Best Practices
Place the tracker near a window or exterior wall whenever possible to improve GPS satellite reception.
Mount the device approximately 3–5 feet above the floor for optimal signal performance and easier access.
Avoid placing the tracker inside metal cabinets, shelving, or enclosures, as metal can significantly reduce GPS and cellular signal strength.
Keep the tracker away from sources of electrical or RF interference, such as Wi-Fi access points, network equipment, electrical panels, large motors, and high-voltage wiring.
Maintain a clear line of sight above the device by avoiding placement directly beneath metal roofs, ductwork, or heavy equipment whenever possible.
Install the tracker in a secure location where it will not be accidentally moved, covered, or damaged during normal warehouse operations.
Verify GPS and cellular connectivity after installation to ensure the device is reporting its location consistently before leaving the site.
