To begin your journey with the Field Warrior application, launch the app on your device. You will be prompted to enter your username and password to gain access. For your initial log in, please have your Company Key handy; this unique identifier will be provided to you by your dispatcher or manager. If you are unsure of your Company Key, do not hesitate to reach out to the SmartAsset™ Support team for assistance

Once you successfully log in, you will be guided to select a vehicle from the displayed list. If you are using a tablet, make sure to choose your vehicle from the wireless connections section for a seamless experience.

Furthermore, if a Co-Driver needs access, they can easily log in as well. Simply open the menu drawer located in the top left-hand corner of the screen and select the Co-Driver option to get started.

Hours of Service and Selecting Duty Status

The Hours of Service screen is a pivotal feature on the home interface of the ELD, serving as your primary hub for managing your driving logs and statuses. From this screen, you can effortlessly set your duty status, monitor the time elapsed, and keep track of your remaining driving hours. To select a Duty Status, simply tap on one of the status options located above the graphical display. It’s important to set your status accurately; if the vehicle begins to move before you designate your status as "Driving," Field Warrior will automatically update your status to Driving to ensure compliance. Once the vehicle comes to a stop, Field Warrior will intuitively transition your status from Driving to On Duty. However, you'll first see a prompt allowing you the option to maintain your Driving status if you choose to do so. This thoughtful feature ensures that you have full control over your duty status while also adhering to regulatory requirements.

Hours of Service Graph

The Hours of Service Graph provides a visual representation of your driving logs for the current 24-hour period, allowing for easy tracking of your on-duty and driving hours. For a more comprehensive view, you can select a different date from the options available at the bottom of the graph, enabling you to review past records as needed.

Countdown Timers

The Countdown Timers are an essential feature that visually indicates how much time remains available for both Driving and On-Duty status. As you approach these critical limits, the timers will turn red, serving as a clear and urgent reminder to help you manage your time effectively and maintain compliance with regulations.

Action Buttons

Located conveniently beneath the driver’s name, the Action Buttons provide streamlined access to several important functionalities: -

Switch Drivers – Effortlessly alternate between Co-Drivers, facilitating smooth transitions when sharing driving responsibilities.

Manage Shipments – Seamlessly add or edit shipment records, ensuring that all logistics and delivery details are accurately captured and up to date.

Manage Logs – Review, edit, and certify your logs from the past 7 or 8 days, ensuring that your records are accurate for compliance and operational purposes.

Export Logs – Easily send a copy of your logs via email or various web services, streamlining the process of sharing important driving records with relevant parties.

Inspection Mode – Gain access to detailed reports that summarize all logged events from the past 7 or 8 days, providing transparency and insight into your driving activities.
