Step 1. Create a Job in Smart Asset
Navigate to Lists in the left-hand menu, then select Jobs in the center pane. Next, click New in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

On the General tab, enter the Job Name, Status, and Type. Then, select whether the location is a Yard Job from the drop-down list. A Yard Job is a location where your equipment is regularly stored.

Next, navigate to the Location Tab and enter the job address.
Then navigate to the Contact Info Tab, and enter the job contact info if applicable.

Once you have finished click on Save Job

Step 2. Create a Job Geofence
After the Job has been created, Navigate to Lists, Job Geofences, and Filter to "Missing"

Select the job you just created from the list and click on "Get GPS". Select the corrected address from the list.

By default, a red circular geofence will appear on the map after you select the address.

If you would like to create a custom polygon instead, click Re-draw Geofence and place connecting points around your facility or job location.

Tip: Click the Map View drop-down menu in the top left-hand corner of the map to switch between views, such as Grayscale or Satellite. When drawing your geofence, create approximately a 10-foot buffer around the job site to help minimize GPS drift.
After you have connected all the points, a dialog box will appear confirming that the geofence is valid and does not overlap with any existing geofences. Click Save.

Step 3. Verify the Job Geofence
If you use the Dashcam & telematics module, verify the geofence has been created in both modules by clicking on the Dashcam & Telematics button.

Next, click Locations at the top of the page and search for the geofence you just created to verify that it appears in the list.
